Can anyone advise if this is a legal truck route, and a decent way to go? It's not highlighted in my atlas...but doesn't look bad...we know how that goes...thus why I am asking...I should be pretty light, under 55000 gross I am thinking. This running west thing is new to me.

Oh, by the way AZ likesto park dummy cars on the side of 93, but it has a radar camera mounted inside, normally just past the scales northbound, past the Laughlin cuttoff.

There are plenty of truck stops in Kingman, Petro, Loves, T/A. All on I-40. Be sure to eat fuel whatever by the time you get off I-40 at exit 48 (U.S. 93 N.) because there ain't much till you get to The Hacienda hotel/casino just past the dam.
Mooose Thanks this. -
93 is a great route. Be sure when going over the bridge to be in the left lane, there's also a casino with truck parking as soon as you hit NV. Occasionally somebody sets up a makeshift rest area along there outside of Golden Valley and sometimes DOT sets up on one of the of ramps.

Good road, I haul 14' wide on it all the time.

Its a good road I run it all the time. And with only weighing 55k you should have no problems with the hills. Just be careful going into Wikiup there is usually a Bear in the median at the bottom of the hill

Stay on I-17 North to AZ74 Carefree Hwy to Wickenburg you will miss all of the BS stop and go on AZ60 Grand Avenue.

Just made this same trip monday from Phoenix up to Henderson,Nv. Last time I went up that way Hoover dam was restricted. Had no clue they removed that restriction and ran 68 from Kingman over to 95 and up. Man I was pissed when I got to the 93/95 split and saw like 4 trucks coming across 93. After getting loaded and headed back south went down 93 to Kingman but was like 4am pitch black and couldn't see the dam or the lake
Look forward to the next trip that way
