im looking to start a new route that goes through upstate ny and New England but it looks like Pilots and Loves seem to be far and few between. I've been using pilot pretty much religiously since I'm fueling up and getting a free shower at the same time. I'm looking to be able to shower every night without paying $12 a night. so any advice is appreciated, thanks

Well.... you're route would help us.

I'm not sure of the routes yet I'm told it changes and I have the truck stop book but it doesn't say where the showers are plus I'm looking for info on what places other than ta, pilot, loves that you can get free showers

Truckerspath app will help you with all that info. Most truck stops have a fuel shower deal.

Pilots and Flying Hooks get a little thin up that way. Just remember that Kangaroo and Wilco Hess (most of them anyhow) will accept your card for free showers.

    Napcity Thanks this.

Thanks that's exactly the type of info I'm looking for. Which card do they accept from? I've never seen those stations before I'll look up their locations

Your Pilot card. Pilot seems to have bought most of the Kangaroos and Wilco Hess stops out and the ones they didn't take over yet are ones you probably don't want to shower in anyhow.

St. Albans Vermont has an quaint little "truck stop" (independent) that has decent showers for $5 if you ever run up and across that way.

Just look on truckers path app.their is not much up on the northeast and they are most very old run down dumps. Even the pilots and TA in that area are in rough shape.

Do some lengthy homework and, minus certain times of the year, you can find decent motels with truck parking for under $65 if they coordinate with your situation.

That expense at least is deductible for personal tax purposes. I need my regular shower and will spend the extra money in certain situations where a decent truck stop is just not available but a budget motel is.

And if you do find yourself staying in chain hotels frequently, be sure to use their rewards card system to accrue points and free nights.
