Then quit complaining and go do it. The light's I made aren't even blinding. I've made sure of that so your barking up the wrong tree here friend. I go out of my way to ensure I can see down road but not at the expense of other's.

If these projector style bi xenon are so unsafe then why were ford's coming factory with them? why do lexus suvs or a gmc Acadia? almost every factory vehicle out there has hid as a factory option. My setup is the exact same, only with a better projector because all of those actually allow a certain amount of light output above the cutoff line whereas the projector I use does not.

Time for you to make peace with it I think? you can't go down the road with fog lights blinding every 2nd car you see.

You admitted that they look like high beams coming at you above and now you're saying they aren't blinding? Are you, by chance, a Liberal? Just wondering.

And it's time the Feds, if they do anything useful soon, cut down on the manufactures HID options. There is no point in blinding everyone with these ###### lights.

But what do you mean I can't blind every 2nd car? Hey, if everyone else can get away with it, I can too! Screw everyone else, I want to see! Anyone who complains about it is stuck in the '70s, anyhow! Screw them, I say!

    YeeHaw!

I said my Pete looks dim coming towards me..... unless he has the high beams on, then it's bright.

My peterbilts headlights look so dim that it's unbelievable how bright they are while driving. a 1990 ford tempo blinds me more than when I meet my driver on the highway.

Don't hate the guy trying to do it right. Hate the ones who out a plug and play kit onto a reflector housing (which is illegal) and into the fog lights.

Be happy guys like me take the time to do it right.

Looks good. I'm glad to see you did your research and did the job right. I hate these people putting in aftermarket hid headlights in now adays blinding everyone. There's a right way to do things, and a wrong way. I applaud you for doing it right.

    It's still a prostar though...

I went with the LED Truck lite replacements.

The LED spectrum is very close to natural daylight, the lamps are constructed with a very defined cut off line, and I'm not annoying traffic with the intensity or spectrum of HID lights.

I remember when CFI/Conway went with the HID lights - all the drivers were getting flashed - constantly.

If they went with hid, it would have more than likely been a plug and play in a reflector housing which is why they'd be getting flashed. Noone makes a hid housing for big rigs so unless they retrofitted every truck, it wasn't done right.

Led doesn't melt the snow so up here they are horrible half the year. trucklite does make a heated led but only in the 7" round and they are the only company to do so.

You have to understand one thing why we can't see stars when sun is on the sky. Car sale market will bend over to increase sales. New lights, more entertainment for driver new color scheme almost anything to create "new model" every six month. My neighbor updated his 2 year old car ( and payment) because he wants to have those cool LED DRL. You say it's DOT approved? Come on. Pay fee and they will approve anything. Back in the years it was the standard for the headlight bulb output 55/60. In every vehicle. Now if you are driving with HID1 mile behind someone with regular light the driver is in danger because the shade front of the car and deer or moose or stall vehicle right on his her way. Then you came close to wreck and see the car driver is someone you know or the family member. Or even stranger does it make any difference. Now you are witness. Killed driver lawyer sniffing around for money. Big truck it's always big money for lawyers. Investigators will work tireless to find something.Ooops the headlight is not OEM!!!!!!!
Those light sellers not any better then drug dealers. They making money. Someone died or killed? Not their problem.

I agree with Dustin though. HID's have always have been the brighter choice. I live in the deep dark southern part of Georgia and I guarantee out of 1 of 10 drivers that drive in the area have HID headlights including me. I also have LED fog lights on my personal vehicle and led turn signals. If it blind you follow the white line on the road it says specifically on a drivers test what to do when you are blinded by someone else headlights. Also mind you there are alot of idiotic drivers that drive with there high beams on.

Are the newer HID's any better than the junk they had out 10 years ago? The only vehicle I ever drove with HID's was my old 2006 5500 GMC. They were a retrofit kit to replace the halogen 4x6 sealed beams. I hated those things with a passion. Caused me mega eye strain at night. Had to get the company to put regular halogens back in.

You're right, and I think LED heated is the way to go as a standard moving forward.

I've driven a good 7 years strictly at nights. I've seen the progression.
