Don't come here. There's at least 7 ways not to get a load without a customer or broker saying your safety score if bad.

It's always an issue with someones contract (but they want others to do their contracts on their loads). They want people to be in business for 2 years to even book a load or pay up front without even reviewing much. Agents don't put the loads on the company board for owner ops to see. (They're on public load boards chopping 100's even over $1000 off the load) better hope you have access to one so you can make them pay you what a UACL driver would get. I had load board 360 and they called to block me from using it and I was paying for it so now it's back to their silly load board. Agents post the same loads like 5 times. We have agents that work for UACL and 5 other companies so a load gets double and triple brokered. They have loads that don't exist on the load board. The fuel surcharge on broker loads stay the same even if fuel is $5 pg. They use this 1.15% formula and they call it 15% on the FSC. Example If you haul a load for 1000 then you do the FSC like this 1000x.15 not 1000/1.15. You lose almost $20. They have agents playing broker. They work here with about 2 customers then use don't even put their customer freight on the board. They go to the broker boards to find loads and do their double and triple brokering thing and put them into the uacl system pretending to be an 3rd party company to broker when they're not. Which gets us banned from using certain brokers. I just put one of them on YouTube yesterday. I can go all day with screen captures and recordings working for this place. I'm getting out of he ASAP

I look at their load board and I do 150 mile search and it's nothing but a bunch of loads from internet truck stop. I have watched them and I got names. A lot of them take company loads and post them on TIC or DAT for cheap. We as leased drivers here don't get to see it on uacl's board so hopefully if you got a friendly agent to give you their password for their public load board you may find a load. Though the loads you see on DAT or ITC be on the in house board which is a joke. Because there be 3 agents with the same load with different rates but they'll offer it to us while they take the company loads and broker them to other carriers. Example Friday Matt called me with a load paying 4100. I looked on the company board withing 150 miles. Only 1 loads 117 away loading today. What he do??? Told me to hold on my customer is calling with more details. That clown never responded. I look on the public boards he has it up for 3100. What a joke. So you already know what happened. He wouldn't even answer the phone. They always have contract issues with other brokers. There will be 20 loads on the board and 15 of them we can't load with. That's bad. I do youtube videos on it

Of course I see this because I got a lot of time one my hands not being able to get a load for

    contract issues
someone hasn't been in business 2 yrs
    agents playing broker
agent's trying to be ltl guys and don't get all the details. Like you can't load 55 feet on a 48 ft trailer
the list is huge and yes sometimes safety but they will try to say it's all about safety why we can't get loaded all the time

Your wasting your time on the load board.....you have the list of agents no one posts on the board...you need to develp a lane find the agents on that lane call them start pulling for that agent every week stop in and introduce yourself in person ......tjey arent going to put their cherry freight on you until you have a relationship with them and they trist you ....remember their customers are their livelyhood too..,,,,after a few months the two main agents would call me when they had a good load to see where i was and i was pulling a van out of memphis and the windy i was close to 3.00 a mile was just amatter of working my way back

I agree 100%. Agents want the same thing us drivers do... money. You need to build relationships with these guys. If I were an agent, I would not work with FullyLoaded. You need to have a good attitude when you work with these people. During produce season, I clear about 3k/week AFTER fuel. That is because I am loyal to a select few agents and they take care of me. I take care of them.

Get an attitude adjustment and maybe you will succeed.

Don't you like it when someone act like they know who you are? You make 3k per week in a reefer. I was doing that from 07-09 before switching to flatbed. As for attitudes. I don't have one. I'm stating facts and attitude based on what anyway? I've found a way to make more than 3k after fuel every week and I got proof. Actually uacl agents don't understand how I get 3.50-4.10 per mile *some 2.25* but not many.I get them from outside companies and I use the same guys all the time since January and once in a while I use 2 agents. They think everyone needs their hand held for loads. Some don't care how far it is as long as the get their cut. I work as a team. There are just bad agents there that work for 5 different companies. Don't call me with a load then take all day to get me the info because you gave it to bla bla bla for $1000 cheaper or brokered it out to one of the kther companies you work for. By then it's 1.50- $2.00 See there are guys that think $2 per mile gets it done. Then you get hit with fees like their 25% fuel toll etc.You look silly at the end. I try to clear at least $1 per mile out here and no it doesn't happen every load but I can clear 1-2 a lot since finding my guys and area. They called me and they stuck with me since. Yep once in a while I may clear .70 per mile but I avoid it. Hopefully you got a clearer picture of how I work and not assuming I got some attitude based off a post

I am currently leased to Universal and I have been for two years now. I personally like UACL's business model and the reasons why are as follows.
    A) FREEDOM!!!!
    1) run my truck the way I want.
    B) Insurance rates are good.
    C) Quick pay (usually 1-8 hours)
    D) Did I mention FREEDOM!!!!
Look fellas the truth of the matter is that there is no perfect company out there, but UACL is as close as you can get to owning your own business without getting an authority, waiting 30, 60 or 90 days on your money, having to deal with IFTA and all that.
UACL let's you run your business as you see fit. 90% of the time I make money, the other 10% I get a wild hair in me and go somewhere stupid and have to deadhead out. I make a good living with them, go where and when I want, stay home as long as I want etc.
If you work their system and weed out the bad agents a guy can do well here.I have a list of them that I won't work with for one reason or another.
As for the broker boards, enough said. Very rarely do I find loads and rates that compare to ours. Now we do have some cheap loads on there, but NOBODY is making you haul it. Prove a point, bounce out empty.
