Flatbed company in Houston Tx owners from uk and dispatchers are in uk to avoid usa law they have 15 trucks there mechanics take engines out of there newer trucks and put 1999 engines in them so drivers have to run paper logs done 7 so far. The drivers are driving 18 to 20 hours a day there safety knows it and there not showing trips haul to make it legal. There making a safety issue of wore out drivers they think there exempt because there from uk I know glider trucks you can do that they won’t fix anything till it breaks down on road the ones they haven’t switch motors yet they run them on personal conveyance and office edits the eld

Well duh! It's an engine that doesn't pay taxes right away. Or sometimes at all.

    Gee, sometimes the simplest things....

I think they roll the dice on the taxes. When I contracted with a now OOB major furniture retailer, I soon found out that my pay after expences was lacking. When I asked the other 2 contractors how they could do it. They both simply admited to keeping Uncle Sams cut. Which I think back then was 36% in are bracket.
