Yes, this means dealing with the recruiter that you have, is often that way in any other department at USX.

Since I was reading so many bad things about this one recruiter I decided I better make sure everything is on the up and up. I have spoken to jill several times over the last two months and she assured me many times I had a job with US Xpress.... Well guess what. I called back yesterday and was talking to her and she said hey you have a misdemeanor on your record... Yes I disclosed that in the beginning. So I cant work for them now.... Did she ever actually process my application??? And beyond that she acted like I was disturbing her. So here I am I have turned down several companies because I was going with US Xpress... I was assured several times EVEN WITH MY MISDEMEANOR I had a job there.... Now I have 7 weeks to figure something else out.
Thanks alot JILL -

Yeah I guess. You know alot of companies can be made or broke by people telling the truth and playing straight with u

Now,why this is,I don't know..Crazy,crazy #### man.. -
Im really just kind of pissed I turned down several good jobs that would be good especially now for US Xpress only to realize the woman didnt even look at my background AFTER i disclosed my one little incident to her and jerked me around for two months. THat just aint right.

Let it go...Learn from it...And move on.
123456 Thanks this. -
Us Xpress doesn't do any background checks until you get to orientation. They just try to stack the room and see who will stick at the end of the week.
They have always done this practice and it seems that they always will.
Your better off going somewhere else anyway, they are run by a bunch of morons anyway. -
Be thankful, Cjewel77, you didn't get to the orientation, THEN let go. Its quite possible they would have put down in your DAC they fired you because of, lets say, "you didn't meet their criteria". I have a close friend who was "fired" bcuz she couldn't lift 50lbs at the orientation, at USX.

The document that contains what I cited in my original post is entitled "US Xpress Orientation Facts." It was one of three documents included with a ZIP file attachment to an email sent to me by Kimberly Carlton, the recruiter I had also spoken with by telephone that day, August 26, 2011. The statement cited is pretty unambiguous, located a little more than halfway down the document. Further review of the email itself (because you claimed I wasn't being truthful) verifies it was sent by US Xpress' mail server.
I can forward the email, with the attached ZIP file, to the moderator if they wish.
The complaints I read from drivers left stranded by this policy go back several years, which tells me this policy has been in place much longer than you've been employed "as a driver" with US Xpress. As of 15 minutes ago, I have confirmed by telephone that this is indeed the case.
I can document what I posted. Can you?
