was a co. and lease owner/op . Prefer the company driver. Lost truck leasing . Key is leasing. They have drivers who have been with them for years and years. They also have a large turnover. Alot of drivers went to Interstate and GTI. And where happier switching. Check out and talk to all 3 companys before you make your decision, they no longer and have an agreement that you can no longer go from one to another with some time between the last employment. good luck.

TWT is a sinking ship I'm afraid. They've been handing out paycuts and pinkslips like you wouldn't believe. Shop hours cut, and facility closures..

Take this with a grain of salt of course! Sour grapes is always a worry with "terminated" in the theme. But after soul searching and asking around I"ve learned that TWT has a BAD reputation for canning drivers for chickensh--t reasons. MINE was because of truck breakdowns causing missed appointments.... Breakdowns that could've been fixed.... And SHOULD have been fixed.... A simple bad battery causing nostarts resulted in 6 missed appointments... Despite 20 qualcomm messages warning about the problem.. 10 messages Begging to get into a shop. Jumpstarts, etc.. :biggrin_2554:
Another person who got fired just before me was over his hours on a Fred Meyer load... Called in and talked personally to his D.M... qcomm messages, etc. Went to sleep, delivered and got fired.

The rep's well known locally I guess. I LIVE in Cheney (the actual town where the corp H.Q. is, and asked around. They're notorious for their turnover.

My friend and I applied to run team. We live near the Cheney H.Q. and were told we could get home every 3 weeks. They made an exception for us since I am a single parent. We were told 3 different pay rates by the same guy. Never told about a sign on bonus (saw it on craigslist later). We were scheduled for orientation via a message on my phone that gave us no time to show up. We assumed 8 am and left our house to get there by 8 only to be called and told we were late and making everyone else wait on us. So we get there and the first 2 hours of orientation was paperwork and telling you all of the ways you could get fired. For every rule they had you get ONE written warning that goes on file and the next time it happened you get terminated. They told stories about firing a driver who two times didn't fuel where they were told to fuel, another who had 16 years experience and got fired on their first run because the brakes on the trailer locked up 16 miles down the road and he should have knew they were bad...stories like that. So it was time to take a break for lunch and my friend and I told them we were not interested in the job and that we didn't think we could work with such strict rules and constant fear of being fired. The recruiter, Mike, told us to think on it for a few minutes so we told him we would go to the Petro. No sooner did we get there did he call and say, and I quote, "maybe I can help you two decide about the job, we don't think we want to hire you, so thanks for showing up." So I told him that his attitude towards us proved that we couldn't work there and that if they wanted to hire decent drivers, don't tell them the many ways you could fire them while they sit in orientation.

My friend has over 1.5 million safe and accident free miles with 14 years experience and I've been driving 1.5 years.

Because the original post was asking about the company. Unless you are asking Roadhog why they posted here.

He was drunk and going the wrong way on an interstate. Lucky he didn't kill the person in the car he eventually collided with.
