The truck is a 2008 WESTERN STAR 4964EX. I just replaced the stock fender turn signals with LEDs and also did the same on the back, when my headlights are on my passenger side blinkers will not work at all or will work in a very odd flash pattern. With the headlights off everything works fine. I cannot find the flasher relay to change that over to an Electronic relay. I've run out of options and ideas!!! Need help

The dealer said it is in the fuse panel but all it shows under "flasher" is a normal 20amp fuse

sounds like you need either an inline resistor or an LED compatible Relay

So far I haven't been able to locate the flasher relay for this truck, I've checked everywhere including tracing the "clicking" sound to behind the steering wheel in some control box under the dash but it doesn't have any access to it just a wiring harness that plugs in. One other weird thing that is happening, is that when my lights are on, the indicator arrows on the dash come on but are dimly lit. I'm at my wits end with this gremlin

Your flasher output is controlled by the ECC module:

And yes, the ECC is right there by the steering wheel underneath dash.

LMAO. they have no idea. If it's still the same as older models, it's in the ecc. So you can not change it. The ecc was designed way back in 1995 ish. They were not thinking about l.e.d.s back then. You need some form on resistance in the line. Your anomaly is that it works at all. So what we usually did was leave regular lights in the rear under the frame in the back for the needed resistance. If you spent some time and actually looked through the threads in this section first you would have seen this has been discussed before.

I've looked and didn't know if I possibly had a unique issue, well where I had regular lights under the frame I replaced with a center plate then Mudflap hangers with the lights in them. It looks like I'll probably need those resistors. Where would you suggest I put them?? On the main wire running to the back before it gets to any lights or put one inline on each fender light in the front then on each line to each light set on the back?? I definitely appreciate the advice so far

Maybe you have a ground issue with the new lights?

How about trying this, put back the old light ans see what happens.
