like the title says, I have a turbo actuator fault and a unbareable loud knocking noise coming from the motor as you try to accelerate. The truck is not driveable due to this, no shop seems to want to work on in since we had the DEF system taken out.
Please help, its a 2010 peterbuilt cummins isx

Pittsburgh Power works on all trucks. If you anyplace near PA. They work on the new emission engines and the older pre emission engines. They claim they can fix the problems others can't.

Knocking?
Take a number two pencil, put it on each of the cylinders at the head. See if you can detect the tapping through the pencil.
Deisels don't knock... they run by very high compression until the fuel itself spontaneously ignites as the piston is very close to the top.
The newer turbos are excessively easy to break. Slap a big older one on there. -
