I'm in school right now on the wia grant. I have things here in town that I'm not willing to sacrifice to get my experience for a 'good' job, but my expenses are so low that I can eat steak/out 3 times a day on like 1500 a month. The whole point of me going to school was so I can make a little more money for less of my time, which will hopefully free me up to enjoy the years that I have before my body and brain are all screwed up from old age and I'm too old to go after my dreams. All I see on craigslist are jobs for people who want to work five million hours a week and surrender their entire waking lives to their boss. I dont want otr, and I'd be happy to be a yard dog if they would only work me 2-3 days a week. I love night shift. Is there any work here in town or do I need to move to a city with a bigger economy to get what I need? I'd hate to move because I really like how not evil the people here generally are and because I got a great deal on renting a whole nice house for 350 a month. I dont want to give up that sweet ### deal.

Hiring CDL-A Truck Drivers
for our Local Lanes!
If you’re looking for a set route and home every day with flexible shift times then look no further—a Local Lane is right for you! As a Local truck driver, you’ll haul loads for a local company and be instrumental in fostering that relationship for C.R England.

Reddaway is supposedly hiring a P&D driver, you'd need all endorsements. There's a yard dog job sometimes on CL but you need time.
If you don't mind getting dirty, CTI will probably hire you. They have very high turnover and beat equipment.
Beyond that look for a dock job at one of the LTL's to get into position. -
Because you just want to work 3 or 4 days a week, sign up with a temp agency that hires cdl-A drivers. This way you can work when you want to.

There isn't much temp driving in Tucson for some reason. I spoke with a recruiter for a company based in PHX that sometimes has temp stuff in Tucson, told her that I could never figure out the economy down there, she said she couldn't either. :^)
OP, you can try Coastal fuel if you went to a school they approve on their site, they will hire out of a list of schools.
Eegee's hires newbies to deliver fast food, 16/hr IIRC. -
I dont know about Tucson but back in Texas Pepsi and Coke would hire any warm body with a cdl that could pass a drug test and a background check. LTLs hire P&D guys part time but in Tucson those opportunities might be hard to come by. -
@Guy Person Mc'DudeMan has the best screen name I've seen in a long time. Welcome, sir.
