I found one thread about a year old of folks asking about Truline out of Vegas. 3 guys asked about them, not one response.
So, I will ask again. Anyone drive for this outfit? Or used to? They don't even have their own website that I can find.
Just looking for the best information I can find before attending school as to possible employers.
Thanks,
Michael

Hiya fellow Las Vegan...
Never drove for Tru-line. But saw plenty of their trucks between Vegas and Phoenix. Back when freight was good they had flat beds and dry vans running daily between the two cities. So you could be home every day or every other day at least. They had Internationals. Also chatted up a local driver when I bumped a dock here in Vegas on a delivery. He was paid hourly in a day cab but said all his work was at night. He seemed happy.
They did have a website with a recruiting contact phone number. Come to think of it I have not seen any of their rigs around Vegas lately. Hope they are still in business. If memory serves me I think the owner caught some tax flack locally for not registering the fleet in Nevada. He plated them out of Utah to save money. Also think they are related to the owners of CR England some how. That would be a red light warning for me.
Good luck!Baack Thanks this. -

You Never know what of compamy it is if you even can not get ahold of their office. Look at the city Las Vegas, every ripoff joiny you could imagine will be their. There's not checkinh there to see if the school is run right. What king ofg certifications do they own that can be varifiedf??? Las Veges is there for one reason. All the support they get has to be cheched and recheched
For Drivin, Las Vegas sits in a bad plave to stratwith. The only avange I can see your were heading south on 1-15 and needed a break. It's not worth much running through the desert unless you can gain some time and I've done that before.
Not any of the drivers that I drove with in veges did any og their traning with these people if they had to. I think you'd be better to look around maybe down sound and find a school with real ggod papers and a good named behind them.lv gn Thanks this. -
If you plan to run tankers you might want to go to the terminals and talk with the guys before you spend and money. It's been awhile since I've pulled from there but back then there were a couple that would even touch new guys. So over on Sloan road and watch where they park their trucks. You could try Rebel but b e real careful of herbst

Yeppers it is a hot one in Vegas for sure today...Anyway Tru line still has a website. Just look under Tru line corporation and your good to go.
Time for a coffee. -
I can tell you Tru-Line has been around since the early '60,s
They haul a bunch of Phx/Vegas/S,Ca freight. Dry/flatbed. Have you checked out Andrus and Cox out of St.George,Ut? -
Alright, that is what I was looking for. I did find their website. Thanks to all you guys for responding!
I talked with Kevin there. He was very nice, but pretty firm when he told me they don't take new graduates. Saying that their insurance carrier required 2 years of OTR.
When I asked him which other carriers they liked to get their drivers from, he totally waffled, telling me that the carrier didn't matter, only the driving record and recommendations.
So, I am still stuck as to where to go when I graduate. Any of you Vegas area guys have any recommendations?
Thanks again to all of you,
Michael
