Trucks use left lane in construction?

Probably the same dumb### passing you on the right.

 

With you on that one. Then they go slow after the construction zone.

 

This one drives me absolutely nuts, along with the speed through town but drive the speed limit out in the country people.

 

Big signs... Trucks Use Left Lane... Speed Limit 45.
Then, trucks in the right lane passing everyone and going 60-65.

And the cops are presumably eating donuts somewhere.

 

Someone was trying to pass me on the right in a narrow construction zone and I moved over to block him. F that guy.

This exact scenario.

 

I bet a handful of cops whose sole purpose in their day is to pace traffic and write $500 tickets for violators would cut down the number of morons doing that. Or maybe traffic ticket cameras every mile that snap a pic of the front plate like a red light camera and mail them a ticket...and if they don't pay then the next time they cross the scale, they're pulled around back and put out of service until they pay.

And we can't blame it on a language barrier, I've seen some construction zones where there are picture signs with a truck with the red circle/slash thru it on the right lane and a green circle on the left lane...and people still ignore it.

 

Tbh i have family who work in the DoT so i always slow down to the limit and obey signs especially in the areas they work. The number of times doing so causes extreme road rage and near collisons is frankly put insane. Doesnt help my brother #### near got killed last year by a moron bull hauler who rear ended the truck he was in doing 93 in a 40.....

Imo fines for speeding in a construction zone should start at 10k for the first offense and 10 over should be an imediate revocation of your license as a car and 5 over for a CDL holder. I hate giving the government power i really do. But shy of pulling these idiots from.their truck and beating them near to death with a peice of iron i cant see any other way to make the point ####ing stick in their minds.
