My guess would be that HH has a lot of unqualified/poorly trained drivers applying. HH won't hire today's typical steering wheel holders. They set there requirements fairly high.

that must be the case because i even applied and with 16 years experience , I never heard back from them. Mean while at Tim hortons all i see lately is new Canadians driving for them -
I deliver to a lot of HH locations often yards are tight and in hard to get to locations for a newer driver .. PS reverse skills are sometimes needed eliminating 50% of the labor pool lol
EricGeiler Thanks this. -
i know in my neck of the woods all the loading docks for HH are in the lumber yard which means you get to drive a bunk truck with a 48 or 53’ trailer and manoeuvre through all the lumber rows . Can’t be that much worse then when i worked for schneider doing loblaws driving a highway truck through downtown toronto , ottawa or Montreal or having a 34’ trailer trying to get that into a tight dock . I still have flashbacks or having to back off streets in ottawa blind side with people walking behind you like nothing is going on while you’re trying not to run over anyone, hit cars driving past you or damaging your own equipmentLast edited: Apr 23, 2024
