A driver is a driver, and I am the best epitome. Once an owner operator, a friend of mine has a fleet of five trucks. His office is a warehouse in a business park. He parks his trucks there. Why does he rent out a warehouse? I asked him, but he ignored my question. Thank you all.

To unload/reload trucks would be my guess...
What if he does some LTL that picks up all over the place (needs multiple trucks) then delivers to a single city far away? Put it all together. If you can orchestrate that you can make some real money...
Maybe renting the warehouse is part of the deal with renting the space. Package deal maybe.magoo68 Thanks this. -
I know why, but if I tell you I have to kill you!

I think you got it. He has a couple of day cabs for intermodal. How does LTL work though?

Could also be as simple as it's the least expensive piece of land accessible to trucks near where he wants to be based.

Mannequins, painted red, in the office. There's a tax advantage in the spring.
I think you all have it figured now. -
