I'm not really sure what forum to post this question in, so if it's in the incorrect location, please feel free to move it. :biggrin_25511:

Does anyone know if there was any quality shows, films, or documentaries focusing on any aspect of Trucking? You know, like those educational shows you see on the History Channel, or PBS, or The Discovery Channel, etc. I would be interested in watching some, but haven't really found any. I've tried searching Youtube for some clips of some, or even full shows, but haven't had much luck as of yet.

Are there any particular ones that anyone here has seen and can recommend? Thanks in advance.

One came out I think last year called "Big Rig". It is pretty good. It basically follows a few different drivers on the road and some things they have to deal with. Not much of a how to drive a truck type documentary but some cool stuff in it too. I picked one up at I think Best Buy, can't remember exactly.

There's several hollywood type movies or home made ones but the only one I saw that was a documentary type is when Discovery had a show about hauling Hazmat. And then they only covered Tri-State for a few minutes. But it did show a professional operation and something to work for. The Ice Road series shows some tricks but some are good and some are bad. It's a shame because it should be standardized but then you'd have the CDL schools complaining and it would end up just like if you asked for directions over the CB. You'd get a 1000 different views.
