Hi! I was wondering what are the best companies to work with that will pay for your CDL? I wanted to go through WIOA but was denied.

I live in Florence, KY, if that helps. I'd love something regional that can offer weekly home time, and preferably no driver facing cameras, but I'll take what I can get within reason.

    nextgentrucker and Chinatown Thank this.

Don’t do it. Unless you are willing to work for dirt cheap for two years,

Take a look at RE West in Ashland City, TN.

    No Experience? No Problem!
No one is born knowing how to drive a truck and it takes more than a CDL to be a professional truck driver. R. E. West specializes in helping provide an opportunity for employment in the trucking industry to those with little or no experience. We have been training drivers for over thirty years and over that time have developed what we feel is one of the best on-the-job training programs in the entire industry.

Here's just a few reasons why we feel our training program is an excellent way to become a professional truck driver:

    • WE PAY YOU TO TRAIN
That's right - we pay you to train. On top of any sign-on incentives you may qualify for, R. E. West considers its trainees employees and pays them through the entire course of their training.

    • NO CONTRACTS OR FINE PRINT
We are completely open about our training process. If for some reason you do not make it through training, the only thing we ask is that you pay back any sign-on bonus you may have received. We do not ask you to sign any sort of contract or non-compete to receive our training.

Did you try Crum Trucking? Don't get to picky about where/how you wanna run. You gotta get your foot in the door so you can set yourself the way you'd like long term. The freight market is sketchy so experienced drivers get first dibs on local and regional runs. It'll be in your best interest to get a year of OTR experience after schooling. These days, I'm not so sure a newer driver won't need to 2 years experience to get the local and regional jobs.

Swift does training and they have a terminal in Columbus, OH, about 120 miles from you.
    No driver facing cameras.

Florence, KY borders 2 or 3 regions, so that may be a good possibility for you.
