Smith Transport is based out of PA I think. Many companies have terminals in PA, not sure how many are around the Pittsburgh area. Should be plenty of flatbed, dump bucket, and tanker work around there though. Sorry, I'm not much help haha!

PGT in Monaca (Flatbed)
Modern in Portersville (Bulk Tanker)
MHF in Zelienople (Dry Van)
Bunch of smaller outfits all up and down this end of the state. How much "verifiable" experience do you have in the last two years?
Nevermind, I see now that you're listed as "student"
Oh, Smith Transport is in Roaring Springs, PA....not too far from Altoona, PA.
There's also a few outfits up in Erie, but they require experience.
Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help. Finding a decent "starter" company from NW PA is a true PITA, but it's a bit easier out of the 'Burgh. -
One company I know of is in Shippensburg,pa. Cressler Trucking. Keen Transport. They are not huge but pretty decent to work for.

Try this site. Gives a pretty good list of the smaller companies in your area. Also Craigslist is pretty good too.

Hi Ed.Just starting out myself.Did you look into any companies that provide service to natural gas companies,I E:water or sand haulers?
-
my school gave me a bunch of pre hired letters for TMC, Bowman, Schneider, Werner, Boyd, Roehl and Prime Inc. i am trying to look more on this website. i am from Salisbury, PA right outside Grantsville, Maryland where i will be going to school. Everything is paid through funding from the state. But i hope you the best of luck, and hopefully both of us can find decent starter companies

Ya, like tobias said, Cressler's yard in Shipp was taken over by US Express. They now use the Keen yard on RT 11 in Carlisle, right up from what used to be the Flying J. But ya, they are a good company, but require 1 year experience IIRC.
