The doctors are full of ####. They haven't been helpful in the least bit. I tried everything.

I have chronic pain in left side as result of narrowed vessel in spine,,,sitting aggravates it so I take Oxycodone twice during each driving shift the past 10 years. Rarely use on weekends.

My wife had a severe whiplash, after we were rear ended at a stop light. She had a good chiropractor who steadily decreased her visits, and finally told her he couldn’t do any more to help. 33 yrs later, she still occasionally has pain. As far as degenerative disc disease is concerned. I’ve had it for over 35 yrs. since my early 20s. It’s a general term IMO. Simply means your discs are aging faster than normal. Just my opinion. I’ve had as many as 3 ruptured discs in my lower back. 1 healed on its own, 1 was removed 20 yrs ago. Haven’t had any of it checked since. No real bad pain, but numbness, comes and goes, in my thighs. Eventually you get so tolerant of pain, you only notice it’s presence when it goes away. Neck disc surgery is rough. Usually need to wear a brace for a month afterwards. Never any guarantees. From personal experience, I suggest a Neurosurgeon over an Osteopath. Because of possible nerve damage, and Osteopaths tend to focus more on the Mechanics of the spine, using more screws, metal plates, fusion, etc. Every case is different. I doubt degenerative disc disease is caused immediately by whiplash, but aggravated by it for sure, maybe over time, making it worse. In my case, Driving with my Lumbar fully inflated, while sometimes even painful, makes my back feel better overall. I guess my point is, you’re going to be in pain, regardless, how Driving a Truck will affect it, is the question. Hopefully it won’t make the pain worse.
