Truckers Lounge in Wendover, NV

I have been through Wendover countless times, I have come out here to gamble, or have just passed through, but I usually do not stop here while driving because since it is so close to home, I am either on my way out or on my way in, in this case the latter but am out of driving time so I stopped, I had heard about the free showers and the laundry for a buck...I think, so I went in and had a shower, they are clean, and they have more showers than most truckstops I have seen, the staff is friendly, they have a little C store, they sale more like sundries. You can get a free cup of coffee if you use their styrofoam 12 oz cups, or if you take a thermos, it is relatively inexpensive to fill...I will double check the price when I go back in. But it is actually a decent place with lots of parking and shuttles to the casinos if you choose to do that.

 

Very very good to know, next time the wife comes with me, we will have to take advantage.

 

Not sure if BK is closed permanent, but they were shut down today with cones in entrance and exits.....I went and got a value meal at Micky D's.

 

Can't agree with you, the post was to give kudos to a stop I think deserves it, A buffet is nice, and so is having a handy place to get a quick bite. I have a cooler, I make sandwiches and the like. Everyone here is stating simply, there are places to eat besides your truck. As a matter of fact I grabbed a sandwich, no fries and no drink from McDonalds, and another driver there and he was about as fit as I have seen, and he got a number 1 and super sized it.
