rain, no just kidding. any of the big truck washes, but then you get into the problem of some driver saying,( he would not go there because they left his mirror dirty.) so that is a really hard question to answer. my thoughts stay with the big truck washes that is what they are good at. lots of luck

Blue Beacon is the most readily available truck wash that operates nationwide. Some feel their detergents are a bit harsh but overall and long term they do a decent job. The cheapest way is subject to debate. Doing it yourself at home or at a hand wash can be time consuming and dangerous if you find yourself climbing up the sides of your truck. What is your time and health worth? Many companies today require any washes outside of terminals be done at driver expense (not reimbursed) so be aware.

Thank you guys. Lets say i wanted to bring something along (besides a rag and bucket) that i could just wash myself, or if i get a few trucks i could have at my station. Are there magazines/websites that would have options for self-cleaning services? I appreciate all the feedback

I would rather find a cheaper option that i could use whenever i needed to at my convenience, as for my health, im still pretty young so i think ill risk climbing the truck a bit, for now atleast... just trying to find places that might have different options to look at. Magazines to subscribe to, websites to look at. thanks

My company has an account with Blue Beacon and I'm not sure of the exact price but I think it's $47 dollars for a tractor wash. I always pay the 8 extra dollars and get the Rain X treatment. With the Rain X a good rain will wash the dust off leaving a shine afterwards. I've had a handful of so-so experiences over the years with them but overall they do my truck just fine.

My truck gets washed every time it rains. I do have a 2700 psi pressure washer to knock the grime off before I work on it, though, but beyond that I just wait for the next rain storm. Bought the pressure washer after the local car wash closed down....they had a "truck" lane on the end of the building where clearance wasn't an issue.

I used to carry one of those brushes that you hook a hose too, and a hose. then you just need a 5 gallon bucket and some soap. (maybe a couple bug scratch pads) there was a fuel stop in Kentucky that let me wash it right on the fuel island, or some shippers/recievers would let me use their water.

Problem with that is most of these cottonpicking truckstops won't allow you to use the water anymore.
Even if you have your own hose, there's no h2o...ugh
