Truck stop with cb shop

No list, at the moment the only ones that come to mind in a truck stop are the J in Lake Station, IN and the Petro in New Paris, Ohio.

There's a shop just down the street from Iowa 80

 

I 39 exit 115 Baxter rd. on the south side of Rockford Illinois.

 

Years ago, when I worked for Dayton Freight Lines, a lot of co-workers talked about a guy in NE Ohio, can’t exactly recall the city, maybe Canton, or Kent, but it was strictly ‘mail order’, they had no store front, or brick and mortar. Everything was shipped in for repair(or peak and tune), then shipped back to you.
I sent them a Cobra 29, that supposedly had a special ‘board’ in it from a previous owner. Got it back, worked and sounded great. The reason I went to that radio was I stopped using my 2970 Ranger. Just got to be to much of an issue using those(at the time) ‘big’ radios in company trucks. ELD’s, cameras, all the more electronic do-dads, just too much decrease in performance. Still have the 2970 Ranger, and that Cobra 29, both been boxed up over 10 years now. Probably should consider selling them one of these years, lol.

 

Bobs cb at exit 70 on I-80 in PA is where I used to go. Heard they closed but the website is still up. Off the top of my head, there used to b cb shops in…
