There's that outlet mall on I5 south of Oceanside. Huge parking lot though I don't know if they'd like it if you parked a truck there. I'd guess they won't be using it for anything for a while.

San Diego to us is not a place to stop. There is or was nothing west of Spotted Wolf or anywhere near the Marine Playground. Do have a rest area off I-5 but thats not for sitting very long.
Once over Spotted Wolf and into Arizona you would probably run into some fine truckstops. -
Some guys park off of the 8e and mission gorge on the frontage rd by the truck rental place also in el cajon behind the home depot on the street is usually parking.or on second street in el cajon south of main street is street parking

Pilot in otay mesa is a #### hole and fills up by 2pm. If u go across the freeway into the warehouse distruct , plenty of street parking. Can get some dirt pull outs on the north side

chevron down the street from pilot has paid parking.

If you are coming in on I 8 there are a couple casinos east of town. Golden Acorn is at exit 61 and the other is around 20 mi further west. Also is a decent sized rest area at the 51 exit
Motto, D.Tibbitt, Farmerbob1 and 2 others Thank this. -
The acorn has reasonable fuel prices for California and a big lot. Can be chilly up there.
