I would check the areas, like frontage roads along side the 101 or the 118 and cul-de-sacs near malls that aren't posted. You use to be able to park at the Valley Circle off ramp from the 101 near Calabasas. Check near the VanNuys airport, Topanga Cyn Blvd, Ventura Blvd, Sherman Way etc. These are main drags with both apartments and businesses. FYI, the entire San Fernando Vly is the City of L.A. with 2 exceptions, Burbank and the City of San Fernando. Also the street where you exit Anhauser-Busch brewery allows truck parking, but is a dead end. That's the street on the east side. Also Sepulveda Blvd north of the 101 (parallels the 405)
Need4Speed Thanks this. -
You can park your rig on Van Nuys Blvd in Van Nuys just north of Burbank Blvd. There are several abandoned car dealerships there, in fact, you can park in one of the lots and no one will bother you.

You are close enough to Castaic that I would just go hang out there. (If the Valencia scale does not represent a problem) If you don't want to pay to park behind the Country Girl there is a parking lot north of McDonalds that has been taken over by truckers or a couple of dirt patches down on the south end of town. If I want quiet I usually look for a spot over on the west side of 5. I tend to ignore the "no parking" signs in Castaic, everyone else does and I have never seen anyone getting a ticket. You might even get lucky & snag a spot at the Pilot.
There is also parking in Pacoima, off the 118 between 5 & 210. There is a Lowes store on the south side of 118. I park on the street behind it or just east of it. There is a Subway in the shopping center but I usually hit Costco for a chicken bake. I think you take the San Fernando Rd exit off the 118.
Generally speaking, the further west you go in LA, the harder it gets to park. I checked my Home Depot notes & Woodland Hills & Van Nuys say no long term parking. They just want us to bring them their stuff and immediately get our ugly trucks out of their lovely gentrified neighborhoods.Last edited: Apr 24, 2011

Hi, guys!
Anyone know the Santa Monica or Los Angeles area and where there is truck parking? Thanks for any info! -
You can always park down on Ocean Bld.....But for the best views...Park at the corner of Santa Monica and PCH....
Seriously though.....
T/A in Ontario-Milliken and I-10
Pilot in Lebec off the 5......
Not much else unless you go over the hill on 15 or out to Palm Springs.... -
Isn't there a tiny truckstop in Vernon? I saw it in the truckstop guide but I never went by.
