    Hello,

I'm looking to attend a Truck Driving School that's considered an "Elite" or "Top Gun" of Truck Driving Schools with an outstanding/excellent reputation in the nation. Which school(s) are considered to being the absolute best of the best that's certified by PTDI? If I'm going to attend a Truck Driving School, I want the absolute best or the Harvard, Yale, Stanford Universities of Truck Driving Schools. Thank you for your kind assistance.

    Chinatown and Coffey Thank this.

I read something on the Canadian form about a school up there that if you graduate from there they would count it as 3 years driving experience idk if you could get yours cdl in another country but from what I heard it sounds way better then any of the school mills around here

    1) Figure out which "elite" or "top gun" companies (that hire newbies) you'd like to work for, 2) Contact persons that do the hiring at those companies and tell them you are preparing to go to cdl school, that you are very interested in working for their company, and want to know which school(s) they hire out of. Attend one of those schools and be your best at all times (the school personnel likely know all of the hiring managers at these companies and will have much influence on how your applications to "elite" companies are viewed.

Some schools are better than others, for sure, But, the real learning begins after you start with your first company. And some companies are definitely "Harvards" in comparison to others.

Focus on company you want first. Pick school based on that. Good luck!

Roadmaster's :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:p:rolleyes:o_O j/k. Want a good school? Go find a company sponsored training program. Probably some of the best training out there as you get to take the truck out over the road for a bit to experience life and real world scenarios. None of this cone crap and looking for pizza slices in your landing gear to pass a test.

That kind of activity in sorting out the best driver usually happens at what we call Company Rodeos. Do a bunch of stunts with a 18 wheeler to decide which of you is top dog.

Thank god there is no such thing as Top Gun Fallon.

Now excuse me while I quietly puke.
