Hello. I am new to the industry and am in the process of looking into different schools in the New England Area. Can anyone recommend a school that they have, or know someone who has, had a good experience with? Also, which would be the most reasonably priced option? Has anyone worked for a company that had it's own school and reimbursed you after a certain time with the company? Any information on this topic would be helpful. Thanks!

NETTS is up there, but I don't really recommend them.

They need to update the website. -
NETTTS was OK as far as im concerned. a bit pricey for the 22 week course, but federal financial aid is available for the long course. i think the shorter courses were in the $4000-6000 range (no federal aid available).
show up, pay attention, expend a little effort and you will ace the course and pass CDL test first try.
im bluntly curious why the 33 year driver above wont recommend them -

i am currently a student there and am going for my class A next week. i have had a very good experiance with them. they are located right off 295 in johnsoton ri -
look at All State, I'm not sure were your located at, All State is in CT and decent school. Alot of 1-1 with the instructor

I go to NETTS school in andover mass as a transam recruiter
from what i see it is one of the most professional set ups I have seenmje Thanks this. -
I go to NETTTS in Somers Ct. After Pell Grants, I have $2300 in Student loans that I will have to pay back (Not too bad).
All the instructors are drivers and have MANY years of road experience to share with us. I get alot more then just book knowledge from them. ALOT of first hand stories (good AND bad) about the industry. They have a placement department that works with you from day one (Gina is awsome!!) and will continue to work with you long after you leave NETTTS. Lets say you decide 5 years down the road that you dont want OTR anymore, they will work with you to find something else.
They are patient and calm out on the road course, and from MY experience, they ALL want you to succeed. I pass another school to go to NETTTS, 72 miles each way, every weekend. Wouldn't have done it differently.mje Thanks this.
