Sounds low to me. I drive a 567 with an X15 that burns half that amount in fuel every hour, and then l get paid about the other half, so that wont leave much for theowner.

    Oxbow Thanks this.

dump truck rates are notoriously cut throat, guys will cut rates out of spite just so their drivers have something to do In a slow year, a triaxle should be ~$115 an hour unless it’s doing rate work

Yeah I don't know in my area the dump trucks do great.

Someone told me the daily rate is $1,000 a day for a tri-axle dump truck in Pennsylvania.

    Just wondering if that's accurate.

If the triaxle makes that much. They're making #### good. And I'm in the wrong state.

$75 would be a more normal price.
But then. In the west they can't haul more then 15 ton.

This area is very good for triaxle dump trucks.

It would not surprise me if the rate was 100 to $125 an hour.

I don't remember speaking about my riches or any such thing.

I am asking a simple question.

$125 an hour is hardly gonna make you riches, that is around what dirt hauling gets you in MN also most are quads or quint's though. But the deal with those hourly jobs is you are lucky to get 8-9 hours a day paid, so that is still under a thousand and after expenses you are looking at just a little better thN a company driver, then you go into winter with now work or very little work, but you have to come out of winter with enough $$ in the bank to restart, because usually it takes you a month or more to start getting paid again. Dirt work is a really tough way to make a living and maintain your sanity
