My brothers truck is like that, it has a slight vibration but for some reason mines feel strong that’s why I thought it was tranny. My driveshaft had barely any play when I push it up and down, the weight look like it’s still in tact, I do have a rust spot where the paint got peeled off. I greased my u joints around a month ago.

I did see a zerk fitting at the hub but I have a thin hose that goes from the hub to the engine. I will grease that fitting right at the hub when I get the chance.

No problem. I am guessing there isn't a hose that goes to that bearing from the central grease hub/port you mentioned? It seemed odd to me that it would, but never know with newer ones these days.

A grinding type noise while in gear idling along is normal. Usually goes away with acceleration, but not always. Only happens in low gears and reverse. Normal even on a new Truck. Usually most noticeable on a new Truck. Sounds awful, like there’s no oil in it. A grinding RrrRrrRrrRrr, Lol. Some chatter through the stick in neutral while idling is also normal.

It's normal. You shouldn't be in gear at idle. You are lugging it and that is what is making the noise. They aren't designed to run 600-700 rpm. If you are going that slow and need to be that low then you have the wrong differential gear ratio for your application.
