I just noticed my hood is digging into the brass fittings of my oil cooler. I'm going to have a shop bypass it all together. Should I be worried about the transmission heating up without it? Right now my temp never really goes up much at all.

Try replacing the rubber hood stop pads so the hood stays off of your cooler fittings.

Depends on how heavy you run and how much pulling you do in the mountains in the hot summer months.
Just bypass it if that's your intention and keep an eye on your temps. If all you do is 80,0000 5 axle work you'll be fine.Skate-Board Thanks this. -
bad idea to bypass cooler. its there for a reason. bypass temporarily to get home or shop to repair properly.
