transmission fluid check eaton fuller

    I have a 1998 fld 120 with a eaton fuller 10 speed, how do I check the fluid level on the trans?

    Thanks for the input, i just wanted to see if there is a better way than the plug on the drivers side.

    how do you check the fluid level? with the truck off? How long should it be off before you check? Thanks

    how do i replace transmission fluid? do i just unscrew the plug in the bottom to drain it? how do i refil the eaton transmission with new transmission fluid? Thanks

    Why, there are plenty of good truck stop parking spots that need slicked up? :biggrin_25523:

    The other obvious thing when checking is making sure the truck is relatively level.
    Have seen some people checking engine oil with the truck on a pretty steep incline is the only reason I mentioned it.

    do you know whats more common in older trucks like from the 1999? synthetic or non-synthetic. I don't know what oil I got in there right now. Figured to play it safe and buy nonsynthetic to replace the fluid since it probably been running on non-synthetic. Thanks
