Transferring CDL to Iowa.

    Is it tough to do? would I have to retest? I think Iowa accept third party testers... that's what my CDL school used here in Oregon. Moving out there to look for better work.

    The only state that requires a complete retest afaik is Illinois. All others will transfer your license provided it is in good standing and you have proof of residency. That is, unless something has changed recently.

    Bring two forms of photo Id social security card and proof of address.
    that's all I had to do to switch over to Ia this summer

    And Birth certificate.

    Nope did not have to show birth certificate. I'm kinda like our soon to be former president, lost it lol..
