We were leased on with TransX out of Eagan, MN for about 3 years. We had no real problems with them, miles averaged fairly good for us. The people in Eagan were good to work with, settlements were easy to read and understand and the safety guy really did know his stuff. Reason we're not with them is they had discontinued taking anyone in Florida, too hard to get drivers home with any sort of regularity. Pay was better than most. Treated us well while we were there.

I have only been here 6 weeks. They are mostly a SHORT HAUL company. They lied and told me they run Tx and down South. The only time I run south of Indiana is when I go home to St Louis. The rest of it is CHICAGO SHORT HAUL. A long haul to Transx is 300 miles. Be prepared to run 18 to 20 hrs a day ans 2 to 3 short loads a day. I gave my 30 day notice 3 weeks after I was here. Im leaving next week. TRANSX= A WASTE OF MY TIME.

I told transx yesterday that I today would be my last day and that I was tired of running short hauls. The asked me: "well, what did you expect"? I told them I expected to do what I was recruited to do. RUN THE MID WEST AND SOUTH. They told me their recruiter is just a salesman and he shouldnt be trying to sell a product he doesnt have. If you call "Tim", the recruiter, here's exactly what he'll tell you. "If you draw a line from Eagan, MN down to Texas then across the Southland over to the South Carolina and up to upstate NY and back to Eagan, Thats where you'll be running". BULL. You'll be running Chicago, Indiana, MN and Iowa and thats it. Sometimes you'll run 2 short hauls a day and if they find out your a hard runner, you'll have some 24 hr days. You'll be in Elk Grove Village, "CHICAGO" everyday. The Elk Grove Village yard is a RAT HOLE.... If you like bumper to bumper traffic ever day, all day long, then give TRANSX a try. You'll be miserable.

I would of asked what the avg length of haul was- not just what area they run in- basically you are running in the area he said, just not the whole area.

Heck you can sign on with a company to run 48 and get sent to the NE every time you leave the house to run between CONN and NJ.

The guys that put up with their bull for longer then 6 weeks are probably doing the runs to Texas and SC.
