i just wanted to get the word out about how amazing my experience with TSI has been so far. I went to their school, Driver Training Solutions in January. I graduated fine and got scheduled for Orientation. A few days before I started, my gallbladder got infected and had to have it taken out and I needed to wait 3 weeks before I could restart orientation.

They could have at that point, just told me off and slammed the door in my face. But they didnt, they said come back when you're recovered. We'll wait for you! SO I recovered and started orientation. After the first day, I got REALLY sick. Like, cant leave the bed without throwing up kind of sick. I called, they said no problem! Come back next week when you're better!

So this Monday I restarted again! I got hugs and welcomes from all the instructors. That blew me away. I finished orientation today, was officially hired and I leave with a trainer on Monday. This being my first job as a truck driver, I couldn't be more impressed with how I've been treated. I hope that my trainer is as good of a guy as everyone else has been!

Just a little update, I did my first week of training. It was a lot of fun, my trainer is a great guy. I can smoke in the truck, he listens to the same music I do. Couldn't really be better. But I was having a bit of a hard time being away from my kids.
I was talking to my recruiter when we got home, and I was telling him that it was a little rough on my emotions, but I will get through it. He told me this, as long as I can get through my next 6 weeks of training he will transfer me to flatbed so that I can be home every weekend. This company keeps astonishing me over and over!

Raynate, that sounds like it is working out swell for you so far. Keep us posted. I received an e mail from Trans System, a few days ago asking if I would like to apply. I guess they got my resume or something off of here or someolace else. Considering applying, but I am based on Colorado, so not sure if they would consider hiring me.

I did 4 years with systems here in spokane. They where a good company when i worked for them 03-07. Pay was fair, and the equipment was decent. 64mph governed. You will tarp pretty much EVERYTHING lol. But you get paid to do it. Lots of steel and lumber. Especially lumber lol. As long as you go national flatbed fleet you will stay moving. Pole fleet will keep you busy too, but you gotta spend time in Canada often. Regional sucked when i worked there. Though i was never on the regional fleet....i heard alot of #####in lol.

Bottom line...I would work for them again without a second thought. (I've worked there 3 times, so they won't take me back now LOL)

You wont be sorry that you are coming to system!! Very well run place with nice equipment. I am thinking of switching to TWT but only for the simple fact that I am not a fan of flatbedding and wanted to run reefer to begin with but this is a place you wont want to leave I guarantee that! Good luck
