I read someplace on here that many companies have a long delay to hire a female rooky, because they don't have enough women trainers.
Me personally wouldn't mind training with a male, I want to be trained by the BEST trainer![]()
Which companies have the best trainers? The best training programs for recent graduates (hopefully paid enough to make the rent?)
Which have a long wait to train a woman with a woman trainer? All input greatly apreciated.
Thanks

"You wouldn't mind"...
If it were only that easy.
All giggles aside.
Several weeks in an 8' box with an attractive and personable member of the opposite sex can be a challenge best left alone.
Personally, back in the 1990's when I did that sort of work. I signed an objection.
I was happily married at the time, and intended to stay that way.virginwidow Thanks this. -
I won't recommend a best.. there's alway better than the best.. I will say regardless of gender keep it professional and reasonably friendly..

Op you can request a male trainer if you want to get on the road faster, you will have that option. I have a female friend I keep in contact from trucking school and she requested a male a some females waiting weeks for a female trainer. Gl

So I figured I'd *HAVE* to wait for a woman trainer.
I'm assumed, since I read some companies do train women under male trainers, that there were "provisions for decency" (for everyone's sake!) gawd talk about feeling like granny clampett! For real though, my main concern is to if not get "the best" training, to at least avoid shoddy training
God Bless

Watkins-Shepard would probably work for you. It's a good company for solo drivers. Training period is 10 days or longer if you request it. Pulling dry vans, you won't need more than 10 days. Nothing complex about opening and closing trailer doors.

There shouldnt be such thing as waiting for a female trainer. A trainer doesnt go by gender but experience, male or female. If a company separates women from men in training, that just tells me they do not recognize a good trainer.

Companies are scared of sexual harassment lawsuits because of the ridiculous payouts judges award to the victims of it. However I think I remember reading about a carrier that was recently sued because they wouldn't pair a female trainee with a male trainer.
