Ok I have a trailer that the wiring is all screwed up on. I have the correct wires hooked up but don't understand what to do with the red wire (brake). I don't understand why or how when I hook it up it kills my turn signals. If you have your standard 3 wire light (ground, tail, stop/turn) ground to frame yellow or green to turn and black or brown to tail. Now when I hook up red to turn/stop and power it and it turns on all four lights light up like the brake is on. I'm sure it is back feeding but I don't understand how you fix the problem I have searched the net but can't find any diagrams or info on what to do. Am I doing something incorrectly? I need help please it is a semi trailer 7 pin round. Thanks in advance.
