Hey guys hoping for some confirmation before I buy a new valve in the morning.
When I set my trailer brakes the resevor completely empties through the dash valve. No external leaks from the valve everything functions fine except that.
Disassembled and cleaned all the plungers springs and orings look fine. Still leaks back when brakes set.

If you unhook the blue glad hand, set the brake and air leaks out the trailer glad hand it's the trailer. I am assuming this is a modern trailer and the hoses are hooked up on the proper sides.
The trailer has at least two valves so which one are you going to buy?
Follow the line back and disconnect it along the way while setting the brake. Follow the leak to the source and replace it. Probably the park brake control valve but there are other possibilities. -
Yes they are hooked up right been working it like this since I bought the trailer few weeks ago. Its the only valve I see attached to the supply air, goes through it to resevor where it's attached. Signal line t' s off to another port "signal" then goes to the abs valve.
Lines go off bottom of this valve to release spring brakes. -
And air comes out of the red glad hand when brake set if you unhook it. Untill the trailer resevor is drained.

Yes.
If you got air coming back thru the red glad hand on trailer then valve on tank is faulty. You gotter .catwrench55 Thanks this. -
This is fairly common with Sealco spring brake valves (if that's what you have). The service kits are cheap and easy to install. If if you have a Sealco, you can identify it and get the right kit or replacement valve # here: http://www.sealcocvp.com/prod/quick/art/Sealco_QR_01.pdf . The whole valve isn't too much, but it's a lot easier to fix them (don't need to remove it from the trailer) and they usually work fine with the service kit.
For Bendix SR5's, I haven't had much luck fixing them, I'd just replace it. -
It is a sealco. No kit available from the parts house but the new one was only $60.
####ed locked and ready to rock Monday.
