Trailer Skirts Laws

    Anybody know if I can enter California with a trailer that has no skirts? My carrier is based in Illinois.

    ####! I have them on my reefer but had no idea they were required in Cali. My unit is registered with CARB though.

    Now ask about your tires. They have to be CARB approved also.

    Sorry, thought I included the link in my previous post. No clue how they would know or if they even bother to check about the tires. Maybe there's a master list of brands and makes somewhere. It is California, I wouldn't totally rule out anything there.I just assume nowadays most or all tires are made to that standard so nobody has to worry about if they are good to go or not.

    Cali checked my brothers truck , he had 7 that were not legal. But they were not pushing that now. But it would be a ticket each , and not leave till legal.
