Trailer repair tape

    Next time you are at a terminal ask for some. Until then I'd have to suggest just dealing. The main reason is if they see new tape on a trailer without a work order, well now you have unreported trailer damage to deal with.

    Of course if you know the company will believe you when you say it was preexisting that might not be a problem.

    Another issue too, is it really should be applied to slightly warmed metal. I.e. warm the spot up with a propane torch for a little bit. I've had idiots apply it to metal below 30 degrees and it simply flew off in the 7 mile trip from the warehouse to the plant....

    That’s a good point I’ll probably photograph anything before taping it. To be honest tho these trailers are so beat up and thrashed I don’t know if anyone could tell. I’d only be using it to patch rust holes or old damage or new damage if I call in first.

    Being careful, of course, not to leave a lot of soot all over the area you're applying the tape to.
    Furnace tape should work also, in a pinch.
