I bought a new truck and it had the abs wire in the green cord and my old truck had it in the yellow

I switched the abs wire to match my trailer and also moved my trailer dump axle from the green to match the new truck which is on the yellow

    Now
Maybe this is a symptom that’s telling me to replace my center marker/turn signal lights but all lights and everything else works as it should

    Except
When I turn on the lights, the passenger side marker which is the led one with the sequential signal blinks and when I press the brakes the driver side one blinks

No other light anywhere on the truck is doing this which makes me believe that it has nothing to do with the two wires I switched out as I would assume the issue would affect all the markers and blinkers not just the two center ones and with two very different reactions

Double check the plugs, wire could of came out of the screw and just touch, if not I would start checking grounds/wires on the back

Would that only affect the two side center markers?
I would think it would affect everything not isolate the centers and different on each side??

really all depends on how the trailer is wired or however Jim bob rewired it with electrical tape to get the lights working after a similar problem

usually go back to the last thing you touched when you have a problem after changing something

We need a little Clarity here. Just to make sure we're getting on the same page, you have two trailer cords? And where exactly did you switch the wires? And the last thing, are those mid-turns coming on like they have full power, and do they work normally when you turn the turn signal on?

Bean Jr. and GYPSY65 Thank this.

I switched the wire for my dump from the green cord to the yellow and the abs wire from the yellow to the green about 1.5ft back from the plug where they already had connections

Lights all work as they should

A friend I just called said sometimes they get an electrical back feed. Maybe just a little more juice on this truck Vs what I had
    Went from a 2021 to a 2019
He said he had the same issue going from one truck to another and bought an online plug n play load reducer and it fixed the issue

That they have such a part might show it’s more common??

Usually with LED lights, any back seat issues are related to ground problems.

I would start by unplugging the axillary cord, and seeing if you still have issues. If the problem is still showing up, unplug the main board and get a test flight for a voltmeter and verify that you're not getting any voltage into the turn signal circuit.

If the main board checks out okay, I would plug it back in, and see what kind of voltage I'm getting at the mid turn lights oh, and whether it's on the hot wire or the ground.

Switch your wires back to the way they initially were and see if that fixes your issues. Your ABS just needs a hot wire.

Isn't the blue wire the abs wire, while the green and yellow are the turn signals?

    GYPSY65 Thanks this.

Yes, but it sound like he has 2 trailer cords, one green one yellow. At least that's how I read it, it's kind of why I asked for clarification that really didn't get

    GYPSY65 Thanks this.
