I black listed TQL 3 yrs ago. I have nothing nice to say about them.

Do a search here on the forums. Read what the rest of the community has to say about them.

What does that even mean? Trailer load out ?

TQL sucks. However it is a good place to learn, once you have plenty of other good work keeping you busy and they call, you can be very short and very demanding with whatever load they're trying to have you move. When you really don't want it and really don't want to see their number calling you anymore anyway, demand a really high rate. Perhaps even say if you don't accept my rate in this call and call back later, the price is going up by $100 every 10 minutes. Make whatever outlandish demands you can think of. Be as unforgiving as possible but still open if they actually pay you what you want. Might surprise you when they cave to your demands. Next time? Stick it in even further.

One of my best paying loads last year was a TQL load. So they will pay if they need you bad enough.

I think they called me 5 times over 2 hours ( I was at home on a Friday) before we agreed on the terms?

    @gokiddogo

Trailer load out is where You (carrier) book a load (the trailer itself) and move it from point A ----> B, on day 1 ---> day X

during this move period (usually 1-2 weeks), you can "use" that trailer to grab loads (contents put into the trailer) along whatever desired path, and deliver the contents to whatever reciever.

On day X, you need to make sure that the trailer (which is the original load itself), is delivered in good & undamaged condition.

If it's damaged, from the road crap, or some vindictive forklift driver, then you the carrier, is FULLY responsible for the damages.

Trailer-load-outs are usually $2-300 (or even less)....and are for power-only players.

    IMHO, not worth it.

Done many loads with TQL haven't had a problem. I do have a list of the names of agents that I dislike and avoid them at all costs. If there is one thing I hate it's people yawning on the phone and they have a pretty nasty habit of doing it. I just hang up on them and move on to the next call. Simple.

I got burned twice by them.

I was on an O/S for them that was supposed to be delivered the next day. The crane that was loading everyone broke down and I didnt get loaded until almost 5pm.

First TQL refused to pay detention,.. never mind that I was sitting there from 7am to 5pm waiting to get loaded. I explained what was happening and after I got loaded that there was no way I was going to make 540mi by 8am the next morning. She assured me that it was no problem. At 11'2 wide it wasnt like I was going to risk running after dark,.. so I pushed it as far as I dared.

Called the receiver the day before to make sure they knew what was happening. They were fine with it. I made delivery by 10am. BOL signed. Called TQL to report deliver status. emailed POD. Everything was fine I thought.

Later in the week my carrier informs me that TQL fined me $500 for not delivering at the 8am appt time. I called them to find out what the problem was,. she says that the appt was for 8am,.. we went back and forth,.. finally I blew my stack,.. said some not not nice things and hung up.

Last load I ever did for them.

Thats the kind of BS TQL will do.

Never mind the bait and switch tactics that they use when posting loads. Or the games that play when trying to negotiate rates.

    You've been warned.
