I have to replace some of my trailer lights and since I’ve made the decision to completely rewire my trailer lights as one rail desperately needs it as the power wire is corroded, I thought I would replace them all at once since the trailer is older. I just saw some on a trailer that passed today with the kind I’m looking for as they matched in brightness to the taillights he had (and I have the same taillights). Do you guys have any pictures of your 2x6 lights at the top of your trailer on the front and back or the ones on the sides that would be on the bottom? What brand or a link would be nice too, and maybe a picture of the light itself unlit so I know what to look for. Looking for ones that are LED and would look good with this kind of LED taillight (I have the pop in kind with the rubber surround but I’m pretty sure they’re the same ones). I guess I’ll need some top rail lights too so any info would be great. If needed, I have a Great Dane trailer for your information.

This isn’t exactly the picture you are looking for, but these are the lights I used which I think are similar to what you are wanting. Since you will be buying a bunch of them if you use Amazon you will spend a lot less there than someplace like Raney’s. Mine didn’t get the best reviews online, but after 9 months I haven’t had any issues with them. All of the ones I saw were 4”, but I am not saying there aren’t 6” lights, I just haven’t seen any. 784B9C3F-A82E-47F4-B488-27C5500362F3.png 479B3841-C57F-4038-9F1A-762D249FFEEF.jpeg 2ABDCB7E-3F3A-4537-AAD5-233A80CD1B9B.jpeg I bought a hole saw to drill the holes and I want to say it was a 4.5” hole. Also with you mounting them on the side of a refer you may have a difficult time finding a suitable place to mount with access to the back side to run the wiring. I am not certain how much space you have where the existing lights are mounted.

You may find a better quality light on Raney’s but they are usually quite a bit more. The pictures except for the Raney’s are the ones I bought on Amazon. 48A1C727-FD2C-4057-B0B8-9AB73994808E.png B91378B0-5868-421E-8971-23698389DCFC.png 71AADD30-8E6E-4BC7-AE7A-4C64E14FCA2C.png 2BAA5D80-579C-47CE-9DC5-B216A45FC95A.png 299A75CD-234F-49DB-9823-1D555DF185CC.png

Quality lights are definitely a better choice, more expensive lights are not always. If I were mounting them in a place difficult to change I would buy the best quality lights I could find. The ones that I can change in a couple minutes, the less expensive ones are just fine with me as long as the quality is good also. Of all the lights I have on my tractor and trailer in 5 years since it was new I have replaced 3 or 4 marker lights and 4 tail lights. LED sealed lights typically last a long time compared to the old style lights.

Not sure if you like these or not, but I kind of like them. I was at my local chrome shop the other day and they had them set up in a light bar. Probably would look good on your trailer. They are very proud of them though and priced them accordingly. 0CF3707C-AD3E-434D-BC1F-FCB02DE3E5DA.png 1CEDE17E-8718-42FF-A47F-3D07A5738B7E.png

I’ve thought about those for the lower side rails after seeing someone on Instagram with them (will probably hold off until I get a new trailer one day) but after seeing some of the LED 2x6 style on a few trucks I think I’m going to stick with that size since I can use them for the bottom rails and the top of the front and back and I won’t have to fill all the holes on the rails from over the years. Thanks for the input.

I have the 1x4 or so led just on the lower rail, trailer came like that when I bought it, I did pull a 3 gallon bucket of electrical tape and butt connectors off it when I rewired it though last weekend.... F8351AEA-CE49-4A3D-AA1A-E81976E38602.jpeg

I’ve been told to leave the stock wiring from people instead of splicing and that’s probably why. Not going to think twice about requiring the whole trailer though. Ever since I started popping in new lights they have all been brighter and I can only imagine all the corrosion throughout it as old as it is. You definitely have a good looking setup going on, congrats
