Now that I'm a trucker, I want to see & get to know this beautiful country of ours. Next weekend, I want to explore Philadelphia PA. I've already checked the hostals in the area. Only problem is...truck parking. The truck stops are to far out and I am not going to spend money on a cab when my tractor can take me there. I just want to be able to park close to the city (walking distance or public transportation nearby) and be able to enjoy my weekend in Phili without worrying about my tractor. Any ideas where I can park my truck?

get the smallest cheap car you can get, it will be MUCH cheaper then a cab.. You could talk to the truck stop about dropping the trailer and bob tail to a hotel in the city... lots to see in Philly... Don't forget to run up the steps at the Art Museum and have a Rocky moment..... LOL -

Forgetaboutit! The streets in So Phila are so narrow the cars park w/ wheels up on the sidewalk & fire engines can't get down some streets. There are a lot of new hotels down by the airport.

Lived in Ambler and Lansdale from 2000-2008 - my suggestion is to park on the outskirts and take the train/subway into town - roundtrip from Ambler to Philly is about $10.
You could park in King of Prussia, at Penske, for example... bobtails park there all the time. -
Hope we don't see you and your truck on Parking Wars. LOL!

The Jetro cash and carry has a large lot. I have delivered there and spent the night there. I was able to walk across the parking lot to both the baseball and football stadiums.
