It was a real location I know for a fact. It's very possible I did miss it by a small margin; however, it made me wonder. Maybe I should have tried to be a little more competitive. It's too bad in reality to miss a load by that small of a margin. I would like to think when it's that close, they would choose the carrier with the better record.

yeah right, if it was a hot load, then why would they go through "phone calls back and forth for most of the day"? They wanted to pressure you into accepting a load real quick to get it off their back. They hated your rate to begin with, and BS'ed you for the rest of the time, while they found someone who probably did it for 20-30% less than your rate. And then tell you that you missed it by $50, I call a big giant BS on that one. They just wanted you to feel crappy about being a little too high, and also to feel bad that you missed out and wasted time. In short, they turned around and tried to make YOU feel guilty about your own rate, and this is AFTER BSing you around for a few hours. This is what liars, cheaters, thieves and manipulators do. They turn things around back on you to make you feel guilty so that they won't have to - and in their mind, it's totally justified - and they truly do think you deserve to be guilty for not giving them what they wanted.

this one kind of troubled me...

    tql.PNG

I've read through quite a few of the reviews and see a common theme. Young, Aggressive, type-A college grad's out to conquer the world who view it as "business", and view the fact that it's trucking related as a dirty little side fact. If TQL isn't already screwed, I predict they will be any time we see a significant rise in load volume or shortage of capacity. It's obvious to me they have staked their business on the idea that the shipper is king and trucks will always be available to haul. I'm glad I found this info, frankly, I look forward to booking loads with TQL in the future. I know more than a few underhanded tactics myself. The gloves are off now, I'm gonna take every last penny on every load I haul for them or they can find somebody else to haul it. the gloves are off !

so this guy admits he lies to truckdrivers and dispatchers daily to get us to do what he wants, but then says dealing with our "type of people" really takes a toll on him ? Oh, poor fella !

Reading those just emphasizes why I don't like TQL. So, when I do call on a load, my rate will be even higher now. If they bite, great. If not, not my problem.

Please keep in mind that these comments are from former employees. Clearly, the trucking industry was not for them and there is a reason they are no longer employed with our company. These comments do not represent the commitments or feelings of TQL about drivers and dispatchers. The most successful brokers here also have the best relationships with their drivers, and that is the formula for success in this industry. We’re picking up nearly 15,000 loads per week. We have grown as quickly as we have because there are tens of thousands of strong, positive relationships between our brokers and our carriers. We know that we aren’t perfect, and every negotiation and shipment won’t be perfect, but we do strive to treat each and every one of our carriers with dignity and respect. If that has not been your experience, then we will help remedy it.
