I’m talking about a device that mounts onto the frame of the bobtail truck and not the 5th wheel. I’m just curious to know what it’s called or who sells them. Maybe this info comes in handy in the future.
Dam it. I finally found a thread on this. It was a little hard to find, but here it is.
Any of you tow your personal vehicle with the bobtail?

The mobile home toters seem to have that all figured out.

I mounted a receiver on the back crossmember and pulled a tow dolly.

There's a thread in the classifieds for a 4 wheeler with all the attachments to tow it with a tractor. Download the photos and make a facsimile?

Around here they just slap and weld ramps on the back frame around 5th wheel and chain the car to that.
I have no idea how they get them things up there long enough to chain them. Its amazing.
Once in a while I see a pintle welded on and they use a A bar to the front tow hooks of the vehicle. It has no choice but to shimmy along. Imagine the damage that will do over time.
I don't do delicate items like cars. I usually push them along.PE_T Thanks this. -
$73 at Tractor supply. bolted to the rear cross member (where some bobtails have their tail lights.) hooked up a regular 4 pin pig tail for lights & i drag my car all over the place on a car dolly. I’ also used to haul boats on boat trailers. You got it, mine as well make some money with it.
