How often are you taking your truck in for repair? I can't imagine a truck needing to be in the shop enough to justify a setup like this and still be worth keeping.
In any case, they sell towbars for cars, mostly marketed to people that want to tow their car behind their RV. If your truck has a regular pickup style receiver hitch those work just fine.
As for the car it depends. Some manuals cannot be flat towed, even in neutral as they have oil pumps driven by the input shaft. Some automatic pickups, typically 4WD ones can, by placing the transfer case into neutral. You'd have to look into the instructions for your particular vehicle.Studebaker Hawk and tscottme Thank this. -

This should work, all i need to do is drill the cross member at the back and mount this hitch receiver(not sure if thats going to affect structural strength of the frame??)

Can't see installing/being set up to tow your car being cheaper than Uber/taxi a couple of times per year?

Not fun fact: Newer jeeps have to be towed in park with the transfer case in neutral
