What else can you expect from companies named "SUPER EGO" or "HURRICANE"? just fancy names to lure steering wheel holders.

Hurricane, where drivers blow on in, then blow right on out again.

Arrow, CFI, and Yellow.

The three worst? Pick any of them that have DRIVERS WANTED posters plastered all over their trailers.
Look instead for the companies that don't advertise for drivers. They don't advertise because they don't have to.aussiejosh, lual, motocross25 and 7 others Thank this. -

As far as who I consider to be a bad company I go by what I see on the road. This past week I had several Western Express drivers, that I was on the road with at the same time driving in the same direction, that I saw doing some really stupid stuff that aggravated me and I'm sure everyone else on the road. When I see this stuff repeatedly I can't help but think it's not a coincidence.

You can add in Xan Systems next on the list from here in Canada. Probably the worst by their tactics. Big time liars, scammers, crooks and the list goes on. They will line you up nice in the beginning and slowly mess with your money. In the long run, it's your typical Chicago 1099 russian operatored company who manipulate many Owner Operators by good pay the first month then leave them to dry the longer you stay. Those who go in broke will have a difficult time leaving because plenty borrow leaving them in debt so they haven't a choice but to stay whiles whose who are cautious from the start can still salvage their business and move on. I would say 85% of Canadian Trucking companies con lease on Owner Operators by inflated ads online showing per mile rates averaging $2.80 cpm plus. They also offer fuel surcharges however in Canada it's maybe a 30% savings that's it. While the cpm is $1.30 base rate & some pay even less. While most still have massive holdbacks and higher than normal fuel rates. No fuel surcharge at Xan so basically $2k per gone plus more some are lucky to get $500 that week.
Companies like Xan Systems that offer 76% of the load and show a rate con say their insurance rates are $2400 per month but they use it as a scheme for those O/o's paying it. While they charge for truck parking $400 monthly plus more sometimes. Massive amount of tickets averaging 30 or more monthly and use oversea dispatchers who barely speak English. It's a front, ploy business. It's crazy how they're still operating?Last edited: Sep 1, 2023

I'd say PAM Transport is pretty high up on the list of bad now. Their LP was bad enough, but then they lowered the mileage rate. It's one thing to not increase it over time, but lowering it on people already in a terrible deal is pretty low.
