So I went to this school in Sylmar Ca to take trucking classes and I fail for the 3rd time on the dmv test, I've notice that the training course on the walk around and the brakes inspection is very different to what the handbook says and I don't think 20 hours of behind the wheel training is enough to pass the Dmv test.
Anyways I went for myself to the dmv again and fill my new application and passed to written test ,now I'm concerned what is next: the school doesn't offer any other option for a 4th or 5th attempt. They just want $300 for other attempt at the DMV and $100 an hour for extra classes.

    Any advice on other options?
    Thank you

Sygma Network hires drivers with only the cdl permit. You'll run teams with another driver and he will help you finish getting your cdl. Apply for "Driver Associate" or "Driver Helper", they are both the same.

Don't buy a truck right now. You can't even take the truck home until you buy insurance and since you have no experience, the insurance will cost more than the truck.

OK, you weren't clear on that at first.
Sygma Network is a paid job, but maybe not what you want.
    Best wishes.

I know the school you are talking about, it is off Balboa. I chose not to go there, the CHP and DMV were in there a few months back, rumor has it they are being looked at by both agencies and their practices are under a microscope. I almost went there, but the facilities were not that great. The walk around is different, but they should be teaching you what the Examiners want to hear/see you do.
Some of the Examiners at the Arleta Office are tough, but the School should not be sending you until they know you will pass. Is the brake test the issue? What are they having you do different from the Commercial Handbook? Which part is hanging you up?
The problem with going to another school, you will either need to repeat the 160 hours to get the certificate most want, or pay the extra the school is asking for.

Sergio's is not a recognized Trucking School by the State, and none of their Instructors are licensed by the DMV. I would look around, try Alliance (Everyone I know who has been there recommends them highly), Hi Desert (They have a pending complaint open with the State), or Roadmaster. At least they are State recognized, and will get you the instruction you need, and the 160 hours by licensed Instructors and they are a recognized School, and are evaluated.
On Edit: You may as well name the School, it is GSF.

How does one look up a pending complaint with the State? Seems like a nice resource to have for students...Alliance School of Trucking just had their owner and Director arrested for scamming the VA out of 4 million.

Some companies are really selective about the schools they hire from and some don't care as long as the student gets a diploma. Khan D' Kulia Trucking School in Los Angeles is one of those not certified by the state, but it's a cheap 160 hr. school and the drivers are hired by companies. The cost is $1500.00 but I don't know if they're still in business or not.

They are still in business, they are located out in Riverside County, think Fontana area. They offer 160 hours which is what most companies are looking for, but they also hire 90% of their students for full time positions. I know someone who went there, ended up driving for them.
