Hey guys gotta quick question. Lookin at getting a new set of drives on my 07 Pete. Lookin at a few brands. I would like to go back with Michelin but I am also lookin at dynatrac and Kelly tires. Kinds curious what anyone's experience might be with Kelly or dynatrac. Are they any good. I have an 07 379 Pete and pull flatbed. I have heard a few opinions about Kelly and a few bout dynatrac but I would like feedback from guys that are, or have ran them. Thanks

i'm happy with BFGodrich, last set lasted 450k, got another new set in Love's TS, for 3300$+last set trade; they are owned by Michelin, but lower price.

Depends on your tractor. Large sleeper, no sleeper? Flat beds flex in a corner, the tires take the abuse. I like Michelin's myself. Don't like Good Year they wear out to much. Kelly is alright. Michelin works better on long runs for Me.

I had a set of Dynatracs on the drives. I wouldn't use them again unless I was only doing quite lightweight freight. My opinion...only tires I ever had tread seperation on 17/32 virgins.
I try to stay away from Chinese junk for that reason.

Run lots of Kellys on steers and they were ok but always had a funny wear pattern to them on many different trucks. Never run a full set of drives though. We always use what deals we can get on them. Seems that other things always kill them before they get wore out.

Ran a couple of sets of KDA drives few years back--had pretty good luck with them--good wear--consistent handling in all weather use--BUT--remember they are a pretty agressive tire and I did pay a small fuel mileage penalty in the long run--which did become a concern--this was with a heavy W9 Studio and a stainless spread reefer--not the best combo for fuel mileage in the first place--and of course i was ALWAYS heavy--but overall I was happy with them

I have owned one set of Kelly's and they are the first and last that I will ever buy. Nine out of the ten on the tractor had cracked sidewalls and the dealer would not stand behind them. Yokohoma is a good tire. I have also had good luck with Kumko and Double Coin. Dunlop's have given me good service, but are over priced for the tire. I find that the cheaper tires have given me about as good service as the more expensive tires. Michelin makes a good tire. If you can get a good price on them, most seem to like the performance.

If you do not like Goodyear, you probably will not like Kelly or Dunlop as G/year owns them...

"our tires are offered for sale to vehicle manufacturers for mounting as original equipment (“OE”) and for replacement worldwide. We manufacture and sell tires under the Goodyear, Dunlop, Kelly, Fulda, Debica and Sava brands and various other Goodyear owned “house” brands, and the private-label brands of certain customers."

my kelly steers had a hard horrible ride compared to the b.f. st244. my kelly kda lugs last a long time, but bounces too much. dyatrac on trailer did o.k. for the price. but wore premature, started peeling off at it's legal tread limit, but for trailer it was at that time a good bang for the buck. michelin is too high price. I guess if I had a newer truck & EVERYTHING was just right on it, I may consider the best tire, but with the best tires on my truck would make my tires worth more than my truck.
