Anyone heard of these yet? Better yet, anyone have experience with them? I travel the 11 west states a lot and these sound like they would save me some time.
If you don't know what they are look them up on youtube.

They are and have been legal for use in Colorado since '07, the largest company I am aware of that runs them is Western Distribution and Transportation in Denver, CO. They are an option for the drivers and several carry them along with regular chains. I spoke with one female driver (20+ yrs exp), she really likes them, her only complaint is that just like regular chains you really have to keep your speed down if your not in snow/ice as they will tear. They are not cheap either.

Since the season is upon us, are there anymore updates on this product. Are there any other states that have approved them for use? Who else has tried them, and what are the results. What's the average price for a set? Are these used on all four drives or just two? What's the life use of these, one season maybe two (hom many miles until they wear out)?
Anything else you can think of just add it on. -
OMG those are awesome. Hope they are the real deal. I absolutely HATE chains!!! I hate storing them, I hate hanging them, I hate the extra weight they add to to the truck, I hate how even looking at them gets me dirty and I sure as hell dont like installing them.

AFAIK, Colorado is the only state they are legal for use on semi's, the last time my company looked into them, they were $175.00 for a set, about double to price of a set of singles.

What about those automatic chains that hang on the axle and spin under the tire? Do they not work is the reason they are not in mass use?
