I dont think you’ll ever find a trailer tire with an 32/32 tread,so that $900 tire is just unrealistic.

I’ve got a mileage calculator we use for adjustment returns.
Heavy truck tires have no mileage warranty per se but Michelin for one guarantees the casing to last 700,000 miles 7 years and 3 retreads of constant use before it needs to be scrapped. That is a lot of use in 7 years.
So Michelin figures in the perfect world you will get 250,000 mi virgin and than 150,000 on each retread.
That virgin 250,000 miles works out to about 9615 miles per 32 from 28/32 down to 2/32’s (most steers)
8333 mi per 32 on 32/32 to 2/32 (some drives)Last edited: Aug 11, 2020

So with the terms they have in 6 months 1200$ for tire wear, they will easly put 4 new tires which is bulshit
And none of those rentals have excellent tires.
Last one I checked the rear 4 tires were at 5/32
Anyway thanks for the info -

It's about 12k per 32nd isn't it?
For wide based (drive) tires anyway. Steers are a fair bit less.
