Curious who/what programs other o/o's use? I did a search and not much info came up. I'm a nastc and ooida member. Contacted both of them to see what kind of discounts they get.

NASTC offers certain decent tire pricing. But nothing I remember hanging my hat on last time I checked. I’m interested too. I need 4 24.5 trailer tires. Thinking about getting some more Duraturn DA20’s but only Ebay has em, $305 a tire

    Wespipes Thanks this.

TruckersB2B Gold Program, national pricing ... on some specific tires the deals are amazing. Why buy crap chinese tires when you can get top of the line for the same price

    Wespipes Thanks this.

If you are leased to a large carrier you will probably get your best price buying thru their discount. I tried buying tires thru my OOIDA discount and it was a joke after being transferred to numerous departments that didn’t have a clue. Maybe that has gotten better. Be cautious about buying the cheapest off brand tire as a high rolling resistance cheap tire will cost you much more in fuel than you save instead of buying an expensive low rolling resistance tire. I am not saying all off brand cheaper tires are bad, but some are terrible.

Go to Americamovesbytruck.com. Rolling resistance chart to compare numbers. On Michelin’s truck tire website you can compare one tire to another and get real world fuel savings information.

I had an alignment problem on my steers a couple weeks ago and a tire had a flat spot that wasn't legal so I replaced it. Had no choice but to buy at a T/A and the tire was around $500. What surprised me was that because I'm signed up for Uber freight, I got an additional $100 off the price. I thought that was pretty cool. They also gave me $90 for my old tire. I considered $310 for a new Bridgestone steer tire a good price.

Nastc got back to me. They get about $65 off on roadmasters and $35 off on the rest. Screenshot_20191227-100333_Adobe Acrobat.jpg Screenshot_20191227-100333_Adobe Acrobat.jpg 2

There are some shops where you can find good priced tires. They are even better from what the so called discounts offer. For instance, in last week I bought 4 Yokohamas 22.5 for $400 each and the trailer set of 8 General tires for $287 each (I was going to get two cheap Chinese but since they offered the special price, I did not think twice - especially that Chinese were not that much cheaper). Installation/Disposal was included.
